Domino goes home
Music legend Fats Domino has returned to the home that was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina for the first time since the 2005 storms.
The Ain’t That A Shame singer, 79, rode out the hurricane in his native New Orleans, Louisiana, but was devastated when his family home was left a wreck.
Domino, real name Antoine, has relied on charity to help get his life back on track, and now his home's shell is safe enough to live in again.
A local musician's charity has agreed to fund a $100,000 (€75,800) rebuilding project on the home, situated in the devastated 9th Ward.
In an emotional return to his old home on Friday, the thrilled singer said: "It don't take a lot to be happy."
