Supermodel Naomi Campbell reportedly plans to auction off the boots and jeans she wears as she mops floors in New York to raise money for Nelson Mandela’s charity.

The British beauty is set to spend five days sweeping up inside a sanitation department warehouse in the city next week as punishment for hurling a mobile phone which hit her housekeeper on the head.

But the fiery star insisted she had no problem with the menial work and said a court-ordered anger management class she attended at the weekend had been a “great experience” that taught her how to walk away from situations that might provoke her legendary temper.

“I’m from a Caribbean family,” Campbell told The New York Daily News.

“My grandmother raised all of us. I had to wash my underwear and my socks after school. I had to clean the table. I had to hoover.”

She added: “I loved the class. The teacher was great. I love to learn, to learn new things, and I did.

“The teacher talked about prevention.

“Like in my case, if someone does something to me, I have to stop and ask myself: ’Is it worth the bother?’

“I learned I just have to step away from the situation.”

Campbell, 36, who said she was even thinking about motherhood these days, also credited yoga, which she took up three months ago, with helping her stay calmer.

“It’s part of recovery,” she said.

“I’m trying to stay at a peaceful place inside.”

She added: “I have no blame for anyone.

“I never will blame other people. Blame deflects you from looking inside yourself. I take full responsibility for what I’ve done.”

The Streatham-born catwalk star told the newspaper the cash raised by selling off her cleaning clothes would go straight to the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund.

“I want children, but it’ll happen when God decides,” she said, adding that she was not looking for a wealthy man to settle down with because she had plenty of money herself.

Campbell was handed the community service punishment after pleading guilty to a misdemeanour charge of reckless assault for the attack last year on maid Anna Scolavino, who needed four stitches.
