Details of this year's Heineken Green Energy Festival at Dublin Castle have been confirmed today.

Leicester indie rockers Kasabian will headline the event with special guests The Blizzards and Future Kings of Spain on Saturday, May 5.

Kasabian's latest album, titled Empire, was released in the UK on August 28, 2006. The song Empire, a self-described "call to arms" and the first single from the album of the same name, reached number nine on the UK charts, based on downloads sales alone, and with only six days airplay.

Most recently, Kasabian pick up the NME's Best Live Act award, presented to them by Noel Gallagher.

Mullingar five-piece The Blizzards have released two top ten smashes (Trouble and Miss Fantasia Preaches) in the past two years.

Their debut album, produced by legendary US producer Michael Beinhorn (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Korn, Soundgarden) A Public Display of Affection was released by Universal on October 27.

Future Kings of Spain will open as special guest to Kasabian following an announcement that Guess Again will be the first single to be taken from their new album Nervousystem.

Tickets for gig will go on sale this coming Friday, March 9, at 9am, priced at €29.50, including booking fee.
