Jacko taking time to 'consider options'
Reclusive pop star Micheal Jackson has gone public in a bid to clear up a number of rumours swirling around him.
The pop superstar has written to producers at US news show Access Hollywood in an effort to end speculation about his comeback.
In a statement from his representatives, Jackson insists the "unsubstantiated rumours" involving him are "erroneous and untrue".
These include reports he is planning a concert tour with members of his family, hoping to star in a Las Vegas spectacular and releasing a new duet he recorded with Fugees star Pras Michel.
His representatives state: "Mr Jackson has been presented numerous proposals, proposals which he has not solicited, but were presented to him, several of which include performing in Las Vegas.
"Mr Jackson is currently reviewing and evaluating each proposal. He does not believe that he is under any time constraint for making his decisions.
"Therefore, reports that he has 'been unsuccessful in finding a Las Vegas casino for his show, resulting in his having to turn to his family' are false."
The statement also reveals Jackson "has no current plans to appear or perform on American Idol", and that he "never leased property from Michael Flatly (sic) in Ireland", referring to a report stating he was evicted from property owned by Lord of The Dance star Michael Flatley.
