Britney checks out of rehab

Troubled pop star Britney Spears has checked out of rehab after just one day for the second time in a week, according to US reports.

The shaven-headed singer left the Promises residential treatment centre in Malibu, California, this morning, showbiz website TMZ.com and TV shows Entertainment Tonight and Extra said.

Yesterday her manager Larry Rudolph said Spears had gone into rehab voluntarily.

She spent just 24 hours in a facility in Antigua last week before prompting fears over her health by shaving off her own hair in full view of photographers.
