Katona arrives for low-key wedding

Kerry Katona’s fiancé gave guests the thumbs up today, ahead of a low-key wedding ceremony at a hotel in Gretna Green.

Cab driver Mark Croft arrived at the Mill Hotel this afternoon ahead of his wedding tonight to the former Atomic Kitten singer, who is almost eight months pregnant.

A blacked-out Mercedes people-carrier followed by two Mercedes cars arrived at the three-star hotel in Dumfries and Galloway this afternoon.

Bouncers held up umbrellas to stop the waiting paparazzi catching a glimpse of the couple.

However, Mr Croft, 35, was later spotted gesturing with his thumb up to another of the guests.

Today’s union is in stark contrast to Katona’s first wedding to Westlife singer Brian McFadden in January 2002.

The couple married in Co Meath with a reception for 200 guests held at nearby Slane Castle, reputedly costing €600,000.

She is now expecting a baby girl with Mr Croft after they got together in January last year, getting engaged just five weeks later.

Her divorce from McFadden was finalised towards the end of last year.

Katona, 26, who is face of frozen food store Iceland, won the third series of I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here, in February 2004.

The couple are expected to exchange vows later tonight.
