Smashing Pumpkins confirm comeback album

Reformed rockers Smashing Pumpkins have thrilled fans by confirming they will release their first album in seven years this summer - on a Saturday.

The Billy Corgan-fronted band have decided to unveil Zeitgeist on July 7, a Saturday, despite almost all albums being released on Tuesdays in the US.
