Cameron collects $3m for Japanese commercial

Cameron Diaz has collected a $3m (€2.3m) paycheque for appearing in a commercial for a Japanese cell phone company.

The Charlie's Angels star donned a long blonde wig for the ad, which was filmed in Los Angeles late last month.

In the commercial, Diaz, 34, wears as super-short bright-green dress and high heels and talks on her mobile phone on what appears to be a New York City street.

The actress is so absorbed in her phone conversation she seems to be oblivious to the fact that a movie featuring aliens, pirates, cowboys and mobsters, is being filmed around her.

A source tells American publication Us Weekly: "She was smiling through the shoot and looked like a knockout."

The commercial will only be seen in Japan and Diaz received the $3m (€2.3m) amount for a mere six hours of work.
