Banks receives royal proposal from Nigerian King

Former catwalk stunner Tyra Banks received an odd proposal to wed a tribal Nigerian king during a TV show appearance in America last night.

The retired model-turned-US TV personality was appearing on CNN anchor Larry King's talk show when the host received an email from a viewer, called Mbutu, in Lagos.

Concerned that his pin-up was having to answer to reports about her fluctuating weight, the African royal wrote: "Why is Tyra worried about her weight? I would marry her as my queen."

Stunned Banks replied, "I'm not worried about my weight at all... I know what I look like, Mbutu. I'm 161 (pounds) and I feel fine and wonderful. Thank you."
