Osbourne's new reality TV show scrapped

Jack Osbourne's new reality series is officially a flop - it has been cancelled.

The Osbournes star's new show Armed and Famous tried and failed to compete with US TV phenomenon American Idol, prompting network bosses at CBS to pull it from their schedule, effective immediately.

In the show, cameras followed Osbourne, Latoya Jackson and Erik Estrada as they attempted to become reserve police officers in Muncie, Indiana.

The reality series premiered to solid numbers earlier this month but viewers turned off when American Idol started its new season two weeks ago.
