Federline to appear in self-mocking ad

Britney Spears' estranged husband Kevin Federline is to appear in a US television advert making fun of his much-mocked music career.

The advert shows 28-year-old K-Fed rapping in a music video, which eventually turns out to be a daydream. He said he felt that it was a good time to come out and make fun of himself. "I try not to take myself too seriously," he added.

The insurance advert will be shown during the Super Bowl, US TV's highest-rated show, and the scene of Janet Jackson's notorious 'wardrobe malfunction' in 2004.

Kevin sold only 6,500 copies of his debut album Playing With Fire in the first week of its release.

The backing-dancer-turned-rapper, who split from Britney Spears in November after two years of marriage, revealed he is changing a lot of things in his life. "Just be ready for me in 2007," he said.
