Hefner thrilled about Anderson split

Playboy boss Hugh Hefner was among the first people to congratulate Pamela Anderson after she split from husband Kid Rock last year.

The media mogul sent the former Baywatch babe an advance copy of the January 2007 Playboy, which featured a retrospective of the blonde actress and model, and included a note of support.

Anderson reveals: "He sent me a little note about how he's happy about my divorce.

"He made a funny comment about Marilyn (Monroe) and (Joe) DiMaggio - they broke up over a little scene where her skirt blew up!"

Hefner's timely note referenced the cause of Anderson's split with Kid Rock - reportedly over her involvement in hit comedy Borat: Cultural Learnings Of America For Make Benefit Glorious Nation Of Kazakhstan.

She adds: "My break-up wasn't just about Borat - but it didn't help."
