Carole booted out of BB house
Tabloid journalist Carole Malone is the latest person to be kicked out of the Celebrity Big Brother house.
The 52-year-old, who received 77.4% of the total votes cast, left the house last night.
Pop star Leo Sayer had also been up for eviction but left the house in a rage after he ran out of clean underwear.
Blonde Carole, who entered the house to satisfy her “journalistic curiosity”, was banned from nominating her housemates because she broke Big Brother rules.
Host Davina McCall later told Leo that he had received the most votes from viewers before his early exit, meaning that he would have been kicked out.
The 58-year-old, who lives in Sydney, Australia, said he struggled with sharing a shower with his housemates and complained about the fluff from the new towels.
Davina said out of all the 145 housemates to have taken part in the show over the years, Leo was the one that was “most angry at Big Brother”.
Wearing an all-black outfit with a pink-tipped fur collar, Carole emerged grinning from the house amid cheers from the crowd, but said she was upset to have been evicted.
The journalist admitted she had cried after being told of the nominations.
She said she could not wait to write about her experiences.
Asked whether she would consider penning a book about her time in the house, she replied: “Yes!”
Carole emphasised how much she had got on with her fellow housemates, especially beauty queen Danielle Lloyd, who called her “Mummy”.
“She’s a sweetheart,” Carole said about the Liverpudlian model.
Leo was described as “irritating”, particularly during his mime phase.
But when Davina asked her which celebrity housemate she thought would win the show, Carole refused to answer and said she would probably save that for the newspaper.
Meanwhile, Towers of London frontman Donny Tourette is rumoured to be making a comeback to the competition after his early departure.
Betting company Betfair said that odds on the singer becoming the champion had crashed to 20-1, after rumours of his return circulated on the internet.
Comedy actress Cleo Rocos is favourite to win the show at 5-2, while A-Team star Dirk Benedict is second with odds of 9-2.
