Star cast cannot save Relative Strangers
Sometimes you can milk the same formula too much.
Greg Glienna’s Meet the Parents was a classy comedy, and in Relative Strangers (Momentum, €24.99) he aims for the same success.
A successful psychiatrist (Ron Livingston) with safe wealthy parents is preparing to wed his fiancée (Neve Campbell) when he discovers he has been adopted, and his real parents (Kathy Bates and Danny de Vito) are a bunch of loud mouthed carnival workers who land on his doorstep.
Limp film that can’t be saved by its stars.
2/5.
