M Night Shyamalan's The Sixth Sense and Signs proved spellbinding at the box office, a potent mixture of strange happenings and suspense, complete with good final twists.

The Lady in the Water (Warner, €24.99), with its mixture of fantasy, suspense and vivid imagery, seeks to build on that earlier success, but ultimately proves disappointing.

Based on a fairy tale written by Shyamalan, it features a narf (a nymph from a bedtime story) called Story (Bryce Dallas Howard) who finds herself in our world stalked by strange creatures.

Unfortunately, the plot leaves you confused and bemused. Extras include featurettes, gag reels and deleted scenes.
