Byrne: Brooding is strictly for the birds

Please don't call Gabriel Byrne a "brooding" actor, he reckons such a description should be reserved for chickens.

The Dubliner says that here brooding is a term used for hens: "A brooding hen is supposed to lay eggs. When somebody says 'He's dark and brooding' I think he's about to lay an egg!"
