Brown replacement named for New Year's Eve
Fans planning to attend the New Year's Eve performance by late musical legend James Brown have been offered a replacement line-up by event promoters.
Brown was scheduled to play the BB King Blues Club in New York before his death on Monday, but Chaka Khan has now been lined up to headline the sell-out gig, according to the New York Post.
Brown's national tour was scheduled to begin last night at the Palace Theatre in Waterbury, Connecticut, but the 1,400 ticket holders were offered a full refund from the venue.
