Young: 'Being gay helps acting'

Will Young is convinced discovering he was gay as a youngster is helping his fledgling acting career, because he studied everything around him rather than just girls.

The Evergreen star appeared in hit British movie Mrs Henderson Presents and will take to the stage in Noel Coward's The Vortex next year.

He says: "It's an interesting thing when you are gay and know it from a young age because, as you don't go after girls, you get a chance to watch other people. You see life from the outside and that lends itself to acting."
