Knighthood for Bono

U2 frontman Bono is being awarded an honorary British knighthood for his services to the music industry and humanitarian work, it was announced today.

Bono will receive the honorary award from the British Ambassador to Ireland, David Reddaway, in a ceremony in Dublin shortly after New Year's Day.
