Arctic Monkeys plan festival

British rockers Arctic Monkeys are to launch their own festival, because their smaller gigs always sell out so fast.

The I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor four-piece are set to entertain a 50,000 strong crowd at Lancashire County Cricket Ground in Manchester, England in July.

Monkey Matt Helders, 20, says: "People always say they can't get tickets to our gigs, so hopefully there won't be any problems this time.

"We've always fancied the idea of having our own event - a day where we can pick the bands and then do a bigger gig.

"We're still thinking about who we're going to get to play. We don't want anyone who will blow us off the stage. People we respect and like - we'll think about it."
