The animal-loving owner of actress Christina Ricci's fansite has shut the cyberspace tribute spot down after learning her movie heroine is a fur wearer.

The site www.christinaricci.info now features the message, "offline due to fur usage" followed by a note from the owner, explaining her reasons for shutting the eight-year-old tribute page down.
