Director Tony Scott comes up with an interesting time-travel detective adventure but somehow allows the complexity of the plot overwhelm his film.

Washington plays an agent brought into the case of a New Orleans boat explosion. Technology has, meanwhile, enabled time to be tampered with so he goes back several days in an attempt to find the bomber.

But consider this: if you can go back in time to prevent something from happening, and if you succeed, then the event, surely, doesn't happen and you wouldn't need to go back in time to prevent it?

OK, this is a passable piece of fluff, so don't think too much about it.
