Girls Aloud star new face of lingerie firm

Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding chose to cover up today when she made her debut as the face and body of Ultimo underwear.

Party-animal Harding, 25, wore a black pencil skirt and red basque at the launch.

The blonde follows in the footsteps of Rachel Hunter, Penny Lancaster and Helena Christensen, who have all fronted campaigns for the lingerie firm.

Harding, who has settled down with a new man, recently branded Victoria Beckham “sick” and “anorexic-looking” for her pencil-slim figure.

The singer, a size 10, said at the time: “I feel for Victoria.

“She’s always in the Press and wears child sizes even though she’s a grown woman. It’s sick. Have some food.”

Ultimo co-owner and founder Michelle Mone said of her new model: “Sarah is gorgeous. She reflects everything a woman aspires to.

“She’s confident, sexy and extremely outgoing.”

Harding admitted: “I was really nervous for my first shoot with Ultimo without the other girls.

“However, I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to working with Ultimo next year.”

Today’s launch took place at Debenhams in central London.
