Murphy ditches Mel and demands DNA test
Hollywood star Eddie Murphy has ditched his Spice Girl lover Mel B and is demanding a DNA test to prove he is the father of her unborn child.
The actor made the astonishing claims in an interview, broadcast last night, with Dutch TV show RTL Boulevard to promote his new film Dreamgirls, just a day after the Wannabe singer claimed the couple were looking forward to spending Christmas together.
When asked if he was happy with Mel, who revealed she was pregnant last month, Murphy snapped back: "You're being presumptuous, because we're not together anymore, and I don't know whose child that is, until it comes out and has a blood test.
"You shouldn't jump to conclusions, sir."
The pair started dating in June, just two months after Murphy divorced his wife of seven years, Nicole, but their romance blossomed and they quickly introduced the actor's five children to Brown's seven-year-old daughter Phoenix Chi.
In September, Murphy declared his strong feelings for the former singer, saying: "I am madly in love with Mel but there are no wedding plans."
On Sunday, Brown cooed about her six-month relationship with the Doctor Dolittle star, gushing: "We're in love and get on really well. All the children have met and get on too. It's like a great big happy family. I can't wait to spend Christmas with him and I can't wait to have this baby."
