Lohan hits back at 'incoherent' sympathy-note critics

Lindsay Lohan's publicist has hit back at the press after journalists mocked a message the actress wrote following the death of film director Robert Altman.

"She was devastated… it was written very quickly and from the heart," said her spokeswoman Lesley Sloane.

Apparently she wrote the email note on her Blackberry just moments after she heard Robert Altman had passed away.

Robert, who died on the 20th of November aged 81, directed Lindsay in his final film A Prairie Home Companion.

Some columnists have mocked several errors they claim she made in the sympathy statement.

Days after the message became public, Los Angeles Times columnist Patt Morrison ridiculed it on a website, labelling it "alarmingly incoherent" and wrote that Altman himself might have found it "comedic".
