Dunst befriends on-screen love rival

Kirsten Dunst has laughed off reports of an on-set rivalry with Spider-Man 3 co-star Bryce Dallas Howard.

In the forthcoming movie, Howard plays Gwen Stacy, the bookish blonde who goes up against Dunst's Mary Jane Watson in a battle for the affections of Peter Parker, played by Tobey Maguire.

Dunst reveals: "It's so funny. Everyone asks me if it's a competitive thing but Bryce and I get on better than anybody. It was nice to come to the set and have a girl to hang out with."
