Once again a Christmas film that makes you long for Easter.

Now into its third episode this series gets less funny by the minute as Santa (Allen) tries to keep the missus (Mitchell) sweet over the festive(less) season while his side-kick (Short) plots behind his back.

While Short tries to drag some fun from the shambles everybody else gets bogged down by a witless script … if only the makers would allow the rest of us to escape.
