Mills was 'madly in love' with McCartney

Heather Mills says she was “madly in love” with Beatle Paul McCartney but she told a US TV interviewer: “It just didn’t work out.”

The model was speaking publicly for the first time since her high-profile split from the former Beatle.

In a brief excerpt aired by entertainment show Extra last night she said: “I was just madly in love, blinded by love, and totally, totally madly in love.”

The full interview will be shown later today and tomorrow in the States.

Although Mills refused to discuss her bitter divorce battle with McCartney directly, she told Extra: “I’m a good mother, I’m a good person. I fell in love for the right reasons. I loved unconditionally.”

She also denied she was having a fling with her personal trainer Ben Amigoni and said she would never marry again.
