Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has revealed the inspiration behind the band's collaboration with U2, it's a tribute to New Orleans and an attack on US President George W Bush's handling of the Hurricane Katrina disaster.

The Saints Are Coming is a reference to American football team the New Orleans Saints, who recently returned to their stadium, the Louisiana Superdome, which was home to thousands of people made homeless by the disaster.
