Scorsese films Stones for rock movie
Movie mogul Martin Scorsese's new Rolling Stones documentary has been given a greenlight, just three days after the legendary filmmaker captured his first footage of the rock supergroup.
Scorsese was given special access to the Stones' performance at former president Bill Clinton's birthday party at New York's Beacon Theatre on Sunday night.
Paramount Pictures bosses heard of Scorsese's plans and today acquired North American rights to his Rolling Stones documentary yesterday.
The film, which will include historical and contemporary behind-the-scenes footage and interviews, is scheduled for release at the end of 2007.
