Trump slams locals as Anti-American
Donald Trump has slammed those who have criticised the reality TV mogul for putting up a massive American flag as "unpatriotic".
Trump clashed with residents in Palm Beach, Florida over the size of the stars and stripes flag at his Mar-a-Lago Club, the 10,000 square metre residence owned by the property tycoon.
The flag is 15 times larger than zoning laws allow.
Trump counters: "That's rather anti-American."
Trump won a similar battle a few weeks ago, when local residents complained about another enormous flag flying high at the Trump National Golf Course in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
He tells PageSix.com: "They were voting on taking down the American flag. The City Council received hundreds of e-mails from angry citizens - including war veterans - who were thrilled with the flag and wanted it to remain."
