Simpson speaks about divorce

Jessica Simpson has spoken for the first time about her spilt from hubby Nick Lachey.

She said in a recent interview that when they spent their third anniversary apart it became apparent that all was not well.

Jessica had flown to work with a charity in Africa while Nick chose to stay at home. Speaking about that time the star said: "I was in hospitals with all these sick kids… I just knew I needed to find something more in my life - on my own".

Jessica then prayed and when she looked at the sky she saw a double rainbow and ever since has listened to Judy Garland's Somewhere Over The Rainbow daily.

Shortly after the singer returned home she informed Nick that she wanted to divorce.
