The Grudge 2 is not very frightening

Where the original horror set in Tokyo was passable enough this follow-up is weak and not all that frightening.

This time the sister (Tamlyn) of the original victim of the deadly curse (Geller) turns up to see what help she can offer in solving the mystery. And Journo Chen goes along.

After that there’s very little to keep us interested since the script offers no depth of character and anything remotely scary has been telephoned to us long before it happens, which anyway mostly it doesn’t.
