Doherty in court for drug treatment review
Troubled rock star Pete Doherty will appear in court in the UK today for a review of a drug treatment order.
The Babyshambles frontman, 27, is expected to attend a hearing before District Judge Jane McIvor at Thames Magistrates Court in east London.
Last month he avoided jail after she said she was âimpressedâ with his attempts to come off drugs, and also with one of his songs.
The judge deferred sentencing to December 4 but also ordered Doherty to return to court for todayâs hearing.
The singer pleaded guilty in August to five counts of possessing heroin, cocaine â some of it crack cocaine â and cannabis.
Four of the counts relate to a date in April when he was arrested just hours after being sentenced to a two-year community order for earlier drug offences.
Doherty, of Haggerston, east London, was also arrested on August 7 and found with a crack pipe and a small amount of crack cocaine.
Earlier this month Babyshambles was forced to postpone its UK tour to give him more time to recover from drug rehab treatment.
