Rapper Fabolous shot in New York attack

US rapper Fabolous was shot early today as he stood at a Manhattan parking garage, spurring a sequence of events that left him in hospital in a stable condition and under arrest for gun possession.

The rapper, whose real name is John Jackson, was shot once in the thigh when a male with a gun approached him and three others and opened fire, said police spokesman Sgt Mike Wysokowski.
