Kutcher takes swimming lessons for new role

Punk'd star Ashton Kutcher star Ashton Kutcher had to take swimming lessons to land a role in his new movie.

Kutcher, who is dating actress Demi Moore, spent eight months practising his aquatic technique to play a coastguard in The Guardian.

He says: "For my part I had to be a strong swimmer. So it took eight months of intensive training with Olympic coaches to get me up to the level needed for the film.

"Now I love swimming."
