Charlie's Angel Fawcett diagnosed with cancer

Charlie's Angel actress Farrah Fawcett has confirmed she is undergoing treatment for cancer.

A spokesman for the 59-year-old actress did not detail the type of cancer, but said it was recently diagnosed and involves a fast-growing tumour.

In a statement, she said she was prepared to overcome the problem: "I am determined to bite the bullet and fight the fight while going through the next six weeks of cutting edge, state-of-the-art treatment."

She was recently reunited with Charlie's Angels co-stars Jaclyn Smith and Kate Jackson at a tribute to the late TV mogul Aaron Spelling.
