Coltrane plays a Cracker

He’s back, but not as we know him. Dr Eddie ‘Fitz’ Fitzgerald (Robbie Coltrane) finds the world has moved on now that he has returned from a few years in America.

In this new episode of Cracker (ITV, €21.99) forensic scientist Fitz salivates at the new Manchester and quickly succumbs to his old bad habits before stumbling on a new murder case.

It is a brilliant TV show, with a lead character whose human frailties give the show a dramatic edge.
