Pitt fears he's ruined Namibia
Brad Pitt is concerned he may have ruined Namibia's peaceful tranquility after bringing the African nation so much publicity when his partner Angelina Jolie gave birth to their daughter there.
Pitt and Jolie spent a month at the Burning Shores resort, between Walvis Bay and Swakopmund before Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt was born in May.
While the couple have promised to do charity work in the country, Pitt worries his temporary residence there may lead to an influx of Western tourists.
He says: "I was told that at a meeting of the African Union, the Namibian Minister of Tourism was asking South Africa how to benefit from tourism because people didn't go there.
"Two months later, we went there, so we may have ruined a good thing. But we were searching for something where we could bring our child into the world and have some semblance of privacy for ourselves and our kids.
"Shiloh was given a Namibian passport and that will bring us back there. At the same time we can invest in the place - a place that Angie had fallen in love with - and help a little bit with their programme."
