The National Museum of Ireland today snapped up 1960s Aran knitwear paintings before auction for more than €12,000.

The National Museum of Ireland today snapped up 1960s Aran knitwear paintings before auction for more than €12,000.

The 14 drawings of traditional Aran Island folk by artist Sean Keating helped illustrate Aran knitwear brochures distributed in the US market in the 1960s.
