Weaver to grace West End stage?

Sigourney Weaver has fuelled speculation she's going to ditch movies for theatre after telling Meg Ryan she'd like to star in London's West End.

The actress recently ruled out appearing in any more Alien movies and now seems set to swap the futuristic franchise for a more traditional drama.

British newspaper The Times reports she told Ryan at the opening night of Anthony Minghella's Madama Butterfly in New York last Monday: "I could be persuaded to cross the pond for a Restoration comedy."
