Nelly saves eight lives

Nelly has saved the lives of eight leukaemia sufferers through his non-profit foundation Jes Us 4 Jackie.

The Missouri rapper set up the charity after his sister Jackie Donahue was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukaemia in March 2001. The organisation aims to raise the awareness about the disease and had sought a bone marrow donor for Donahue, who sadly passed away in March last year.

So far, Jes Us 4 Jackie has found matches for several children and adults suffering from leukaemia, a cancer of the white blood cells.

Nelly tells AllHipHop.com: "We are still pushing. We've been able to find eight different matches and we were able to save eight different lives.

"You can say what you want about Nelly, but Nelly has saved eight different lives."
