World Trade Center is a story of courage

World Trade Center

Director: Oliver Stone

Cast: Nicolas Cage, Michael Pena, Maggie Gyllenhaal

One of controversial director Stone’s least political films and one of his best tells the true story of John McLoughlin (Cage) and William J. Jimeno (Pena), two of the last survivors of the World Trade Center attack.

For once Stone leaves aside his love of a passing conspiracy theory to tell a face-on and honest story of courage … and of blundering in the face of the worst day in recent American history.

Cage and Pena are excellent in their portrayal of two ordinary men who found courage to survive while their Ground Zero colleagues fought to save them.
