European Film Academy honours Roman Polanski
Roman Polanski will be presented with a lifetime achievement award from the European Film Academy later this year.
The Academy will honour the Polish director for "his outstanding dedication to cinema".
Polanski will collect his award at the prize giving on December in Warsaw, Poland.
The 73-year-old is responsible for screen classics including Rosemary's Baby, The Fearless Vampire Killers and The Pianist.
