Massive Attack pull out of festival
Music pioneers Massive Attack has been forced to pull out of this weekend's Virgin Festival in Toronto, Canada, after failing to get the proper work visa paperwork completed in time.
The group was scheduled to headline the festival at Islands Park.
In a statement on the group's website, the band's management explains, "In spite of timely and coordinated efforts, the essential US immigration visas were not issued in time for the beginning of the Massive Attack North American tour."
Upcoming dates in Canada, Michigan and Illinois have been postponed due to the red-tape hold-up, but these shows will be rescheduled.
The Virgin Festival will go ahead as planned with a bill featuring The Strokes, The Raconteurs and Wolfmother.
