The Wicker Man stays faithful to original

A re-make of a classic horror film, and though it doesn’t quite match the original this isn’t an altogether bad version.

The story involves the murder of a young girl and the efforts of the local sheriff to crack the case … but he has to work against the suspicious and downright twisted citizens.

The underlying theme is carried over from the original, but hardly expanded: when a group of people don’t trust or wish to help the authorities being a cop can be hard.
