The Beatles have been granted the right to sue their former record label EMI and affiliate company Capitol Records for over £10.5m (€15.5m) in alleged lost earnings.

The band, including the estate of George Harrison and John Lennon's widow Yoko Ono, alleges the music giant "pocketed millions of dollars" in royalties.
