Rehab rockers write songs in Priory

Troubled rockers Pete Doherty, Justin Hawkins and Keane frontman Tom Chaplin have set up songwriting sessions together in exclusive London clinic The Priory to cope with their rehabilitation therapy.

The trio, who are all battling drug and alcohol addictions, met in group sessions and have quickly struck up a friendship.

A source tells British newspaper The Sun: "They all vaguely knew each other before but when they found themselves meeting in difficult circumstances it somehow made them click.

"Tom was the first to play the piano in one session for some of the patients. After that Pete and Justin chipped in and suggested they write some music.

"Pete and Justin are particularly close and Pete has invited Justin to perform with Babyshambles this weekend."

The friendship marks a dramatic turnaround for The Darkness frontman - last year he branded Doherty "a waste of skin".
