I don't date famous women, says Dillon

Actor Matt Dillon refuses to date anyone famous, because the intense media scrutiny puts too much pressure on the relationship.

The You, Me and Dupree star was put off celebrity coupledom after dating Cameron Diaz for three years during the late 1990s.

"I'm not dating anyone right now, I'm pleased to say," he said.

"I think it's a friggin' nightmare if you date somebody famous - I think it's out of hand. The scrutiny just gets ridiculous.

"That's the thing - if you're with somebody else who's famous. It can become a problem. I had a famous girlfriend (Diaz) for a while and that can be a little bit invasive."
