Nothing original about You, Me and Dupree
You, Me and Dupree
Anthony and Joe Russo
Owen Wilson, Matt Dillon, Kate Hudson, Michael Douglas

We’ve had plenty of stories just like this in the long history of the cinema – the awful friend who comes to stay, and stay, and stay – so Wilson, a decent enough comedian, offers us very little that’s new in what is merely a passable affair.
It’s funny enough and inventive enough but there’s nothing startlingly original about it.
Dillon and Hudson make a nice, comfortable couple whose lives are wrecked by the arrival of the cringe-making Dupree, the sort of surprise guest who simply doesn’t know when to depart, and while he stays produces one gaff after another.
